Counting my blessings

Okay, yes, I am in a rotten mood lately, my hormones are raging, everything just seems to be spinning out of control, my meds are totally affecting me and not in a good way, so before I totally lose it, I just want to remind myself of what's good in this world and to count my blessings. So, here goes:

Each and every day I am given to remain on this Earth and spend with my children. Yes, they can be rotten, but they can also be a total Godsend. I adore them and I truly couldn't live without them.

My Mother, I'm shocked by this, but you know, she is a wonderful person. Yes, she has her shortcomings and maybe she wasn't the best Mom in the world growing up, but she shows me qualities that I could really learn from and she's one of the only people in this world I can truly count on. She has helped me so much lately, and I don't think even she really realizes how much I appreciate what she's done. I've lived my life so independently, not by choice but by necessity, that to have to rely on someone else is so hard for me, but she's been there when I needed her and for this I am eternally grateful.

My new Mommy tattoos, they are healing nicely, and they are at a good time to remind me, that I have everything to live for. Might not make sense to some, but for those that know me, you know what I mean.

My health, while this one seems absurd since I am immobilized, you know, it could be worse. I could be missing some limbs, have cancer, etc, so for this I am grateful.

A roof over my head. In this day and age, you should never take this one for granted. Yes, I don't have the kind of money I would like, and I still have lots to worry about, and it might not be house I want, but for now, I do have a roof and home, and that makes me happy.

All I can do is try to remember to be thankful for what I have, try to stop thinking about what I don't have, and pray for God's guidance to help me through this difficult time.
When you hurt yourself, you find out who truly cares about you. This whole accident of mine has me more emotional than usual, I'm wondering if the new meds are helping or hurting, anyway, it's just a little saddening, but I guess it's a blessing to see people's true colors. Doesn't make it easier, but I'm going to look for the silver lining.

Crack

I haven't much felt like updating lately, and not really sure if anyone even reads this anymore, but if you do, here's the update. I got my Mommy tattoos which are finally almost fully healed and I love, even if most people don't, I have always marched to my own beat anyway. The kids are out of school, I got lucky and a spot opened for Jackson for ESP for the summer. The first two weeks he goes full time, then after he will be drop in , I can let him go as much or as little as I want. That's great because I want to spend as much time as possible with him before he starts school this fall. Still no idea about where Elena will go, she'll probably stay with me the summer and in the fall I HAVE to find something for her, hopefully something that will match Jackson's school hours.

I won Metallica tickets and their new CD, hubby had been wanting to go, but I didn't want to shell out the bucks, so this was great!! We've been working like mad, fortunately my Mom had the kids for a few days, I missed them horribly and was so happy to get them back. That happiness was short-lived though as I broke my foot while in my neighbor's yard, there was a giant hole that I didn't see, guess who found it? lol I went to the dr the next morning, sure enough, broken, fortunately I still had my crutches from last time I sprained my ankle, so I'm hobbling along very slowly right now. Fortunately my Mom took the kids for a couple more days since I am supposed to stay off my feet. I miss them soooo much!!! I was so depressed on my way back home after dropping them off. I'm supposedly going to be out of commission for 6-8 weeks, which really sucks because John is so busy working, plus he definitely isn't a nurturing take care of you kind of guy, and I can't do much right now and I have a million things that I need to do. I'm so frustrated and upset right now. I have to go to an orthopaedist this week, and I pray I can get a boot so I can be a little more mobile. I'm trying not to let this all get me down, but I'm depressed, lonely and pretty irritated about it all right now.

Same old stuff here, hubby's working most of the time, the kids are nuts, I'm nuts, etc. lol Mother's Day was fairly nice, the kids were sweet, I got some nice little gifts, and we took some family pics at Oaklands Mansion. The only bad thing was I went to get my tats and they told me I needed an appointment. So I made an appointment, then had to re-schedule since I had to work that night, so tonight if finally the night. I hope it doesn't hurt too bad and that it looks good.

I've been in a bit of a funk, things are just kind of nuts right now, the days blur together and I have been in such a rotten mood lately, I must snap out of it. blah!!!

My MIL is coming into town tomorrow, the kids last day at school is tomorrow, still have no idea what I'm gonna do about the kid situation this summer, need to find somewhere for them to go at least part-time, still need to find a program for Elena for the fall too. I pre-registered Jackson for Kindergarten, aaahhh, my little man is growing up. sniff sniff.

On and on

Another week has gone by, work is still busy, hubby's working working until midnight most nights, the kids and I are all nuts, I had to work some this weekend, it's just been crazy lately. I took the kids to get haircuts this week, and Jackson looks totally handsome and I had about 6-8 inches of Elena's hair chopped off, it's in a bob and she looks darling, although hubby says he doesn't like it at all. Oh well, it will grow back.

I finally got the kids some clothes for the summer, they were in dire need, and of course now it's cooler and rainy, lol. I am so sick of this rain. This week holds lots of work for us, Jackson's graduation, which they do a program and cap and gown, should be adorable, a MNO with some friends, possible yard sale this weekend if it will ever stop raining, and possible Mommy tats if i can swing it. Oh and Mother's Day. Woo hoo!!
