Tired, tired

Another busy crazy week for us. Work's getting busy, the kids are completely nuts, the weather is getting beautiful and HOT which means we spend much of our days playing outside. I guess we're the place to be, as most of the time we have other kids beside my own playing with us. I've been feeling completely exhausted, and I'm just trying to keep up. I've been battling sinus crap for two weeks, and all of the festivities on top of the heat and everything have just worn me down.

We went to a skating birthday party Friday, the kids had a blast! John's half sister came into town Saturday so we spent the day at the zoo with her and her boyfriend. It was crazy packed! Sunday we went out to eat with a friend, and then came back to the house to play, then had more kids drop by to play as well.

Tomorrow is work, groan, and I'm not sure what the week holds yet, but I do know my weekend is already booked. Funny how that always happens. I'm currently searching for some designs on my Mommy tats and I am thinking I will be getting them Mother's Day weekend if I can get them designed in time. Wish me luck, a lot of it depends on hubby to fix the artwork, he's so awesome!

Whirlwind weekend

The week has just flown by once again and I have to say, it was just as busy as usual around here. Between work, the kids, taking the kids to work ( something I don't enjoy too much since it makes working that much harder), house stuff, and having fun with friends, the week is gone.

Work's getting busy, which is good, but times are still uncertain, much like most of the world. Jackson's been practicing for his graduation, it should be so cute seeing him in a little cap and gown. I also was told that Elena is one of the best singers in her class, so sweet to hear, music is definitely in here genes ( got that from DH). I still need to figure out what I'm going to do with the kids in the summer, a friend offered to watch them for a couple of days a week, but I will definitely need more than that. I also need to figure out what I'm gonna do with Elena in the fall when Jackson starts school.

Friday night me and the kids went to a friend's party, DH was supposed to go, but he was feeling very sick that night. We had a great time and a friend of mine told me about a group that she's in, that she wants me to join. If I have time I'm going to meet them Tuesday evening to see what I think. Sounds fun. We stayed until almost midnight, the kids were exhausted, but Jackson wanted to spend the night. It's funny because I had to force him to go and he told me he didn't want to meet any new friends. Just goes to show, you never know. lol

Saturday I met my Mom in Nashville so she could have the kids, which was good since hubby was still pretty sick and I was still feeling a little ick. We still tried to make the best of it and went to Cracker Barrel for lunch, which was pretty yummy, and to see the movie I Love You Man. It was hilarious, and I loved the friend, everyone should have a cool/nerdy/weirdo friend like that. We also were the only ones in the theater, it was awesome!!!

Since hubby was still feeling pretty bad, I decided to go to my friend's bachelorette party that night. I was glad I got to go as I had been REALLY wanting to go, but I knew I should spend time with hubby. Since he was sick though, he insisted I go, he even dropped me off and picked me up, so I could drink and have a great time. Am I a lucky woman or what??? YES!!

So we met at a friend's house in Antioch for some penis cake, yep, it was a bachelorette party you know, and then went to Nashville to go clubbing. We hit Decades, some other bar that I can't recall , Cadillac Ranch ( we got to avoid the line and go straight in since one of the girls knew someone important I guess, lol) and Play ( a drag show bar). We had a most awesome night in our pink cowgirl hats and picked up an adorable young guy who joined us at the first bar and stayed with us the rest of the night until we went to the gay bar. The gay bar was absolutely packed and I have to say, sadly, lots of the guys were hot. The show wasn't quite as impressive as the last drag show I saw, but it was entertaining and the girls and I had an absolute blast! I met some really cool people and we didn't make it home until 3:30. Elena by the way is totally enjoying my pink cowgirl hat and pink boa. lol

Sunday was just time spent recooperating from the previous night , went to Nashville to get the kiddos and now am about to go spend some time with my man. I hope anybody that reads this had a most excellent weekend.

Easter fun

Easter weekend has come and gone and it was sure a heck of a weekend! Friday our playdate got cancelled at the last minute as my friend's grandfather in law is very sick with cancer and dying so they made a quick road trip to go see him. This was also the same day as the tornado and the kids and I spend a good chunk of our day hiding in the closet. I hate tornados, it seems like this area always gets hit.

Saturday we had a birthday party which was super fun, then my family, some friends, and my Mom who came up to visit all went to an Egg hunt. It was a lot of fun, and Elena got to ride a pony. She was a happy girl. Afterwards my Mom took us out to eat then back to the house to hang out for a bit. Then I had to get ready to go out with a super friend, and we had a most excellent time. I even did karaoke. Yikes! Yes I was horrible, but at least I can say I did it. I got home at 4, then had to fill the kids Easter egg baskets and fill eggs for the hunt the next day. Went to bed at 5, kids woke up at 7, then up for good at 8. How on Earth do I run on so little sleep????

Sunday was Easter, a most beautiful day indeed, and the kids were uber excited at all the goodies in their baskets, and we had lots of fun looking for eggs. That crazy rabbit even hid some eggs in the house. Jackson was very impressed. We played outside most of the day and lounged quite a bit, I was exhausted from the night before. So the weekend is done, and now we have a fresh new week coming up. I hope it holds less excitement than this week.

Yippee!!

This week has just flown by! The kids had an Easter egg hunt at school, I'm already sick of the candy fights. lol. I went to the dermatologist and had a couple of moles looked at and removed. I don't think she did one of them right though and will have to go back. Yeehaw!! It's itchy and a little sore, but I'm glad I had it done.

I'm working on my Mommy tats. I am so excited! I still need to have John do a little bit of work to the artwork, thank God he is so wonderful about setups and such, we're designing custom ones and I am so excited. I already told my Mom I was getting them soon, and what the meaing and such is behind them and I don't want to hear any griping from her. Let me just say, I personally think Jackson's is gonna be super cool. I don't want to say anything about what they are or anything until I get it done, but I will be inking them in the very near future. Woo hoo!!! If you don't like tattoos, sorry but I personally think they are art, I love them and I want something near and dear to me on my body.

Tomorrow some friends are coming over for a little playdate, should be fun. Saturday is filled with a birthday party, Egg hunt, then out for a night with the girls. Sunday we'll have a low key day just hanging at the house and hunting eggs with the kids. Should be a good weekend!

Sometimes...

Sometimes I forget to see the bigger picture, to realize that the small things are petty and trivial. I forget what's really important, how blessed I am, and that there are really only a few things in my life that truly matter. I forget how awesome my husband is, he really centers me when I need it, and reminds me to stop sweating the small stuff and look at the big picture. I'm so lucky to have him in my life. We had a long talk the other night and it was just what I needed to get out of my funk and to re-focus and prioritize. We had the chance to reconnect and it does my soul good. It's amazing how off I get when my relationship isn't what it should be. I know I shouldn't let anyone really affect me, but when things are off with him, it kind of throws everything off. He's my friend, my partner, my rock when I really need it, the whole voice of reason. Tonight I am thankful, for my husband, my children, a roof over my head, too much food in my tummy, angels who watch over me and a God who loves me.

Popping in

We went to see Monsters vs Aliens this week with some friends and while the movie was cute, well at least what I saw was cute, Elena kept wanting to go to the bathroom, I'm telling you, she's going to be impossible, she pees ALL the time! Anyway, the movie was cute, the kids loved it, although I didn't realize it was 3D and it was expensive. We saw a matinee and it was $20 for Jackson and I, crazy!

Some bad storms hit this week by the trophy shop and we were really fortunate that the storm didn't get us. I hope that nobody was seriously hurt and I hope everyone had good insurance. The kids and I have all been a little cuckoo this week, I've been PMSing pretty bad. Dang hormones.

Last night we went to the Preds game, which was good, but DH brought the wrong tickets, so we had to walk around the building to the main entrance, and pay a fee to get tickets reprinted. grrr.

Today we're going to see the Easter Bunny, then to the store to pick up a couple of things, then home to bake more bread. I'm loving this spring weather, but I heard they're talking snow this week. TN weather is insane!
